Congrats on the Nautitech 475 (already saying this even though you're not yet getting it but that's a good deal). If you're new to sailing, I guess you might feel like this is a bit overwhelming. Don't add heavy mods if I were you since you gotta keep it light.

Good choice on the 475! I suggest that you inspect it well before getting it. check the engine and saildrive condition. look for signs of mold and corrosion tpp.

I'm kind of in the same situation, funny enough. I used to sail small boats, but then I spent a season helping a buddy on his 44-foot catamaran. It was a big change, but learning as I went was actually pretty fun.

The Nautitech 475 seems like a good choice. My advice is to keep things easy in the beginning and learn how everything works. Good luck to you if you decide to go for it! Are you thinking about coastal trips or sailing further out to sea?
