Advice on choosing between Dufour 460 GL and Beneteau Oceanis 48

I'm new here and could really use some advice.

I'm on the hunt for a boat in the 45-50 foot range, primarily for sailing in the North Sea and the nearby coastline. After doing quite a bit of digging, I've narrowed my choices down to the Dufour 460 GL and the Beneteau Oceanis 48.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with either of these boats! How do they stack up against each other in terms of build quality, performance, handling, and overall comfort? Are there any particular quirks or features that stand out?

I really appreciate any insights or advice you all can share.

I don't have a lot of experience with the exact models you mentioned, so I'm just sharing what I read or heard from the others.
Both are generally solid production boats, though some argue Dufour often has a slight edge in interior finish details.
Performance-wise, the Dufour 460 GL is often considered to have the advantage, particularly upwind, while the Oceanis 48 might offer a touch more interior volume and comfort at anchor.
Many also find the Dufour to be a bit more responsive.
I'd recommend going on a test sail for both when you can as it often comes down to personal preference!

The Dufour 460 GL is a little stiffer and livelier under sail with nicer helm feel, but you see storage/layout quirks pop up depending on spec
